MadeLoud's Privacy Policy

Welcome to!

Whether this is your 1st or 1000th time to our site, we hope you have an enjoyable experience on We value your interest in music and want to do everything we can to keep you coming back, including taking your privacy seriously. Here is the low down on what we do with your information, when, and why. We have tried to make this as clear as possible, but of course, if you have any questions please feel free to ask us. You should check back here frequently because we may make changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time.

I. Why we collect personal information

MadeLoud collects information to authenticate its users and ensure that we can carry out website services, including customer service, e-commerce management, and other services which users initiate.

II. What information is collected

When I am browsing

Until you become a registered use on, you are anonymous. While you are perusing MadeLoud, though, Google Analytics is at work for us. The information Google Analytics provides us allows us to make our website more fun, interesting and useful. One way Google Analytics collects information is to make a note of what was clicked on, how many and what pages were viewed using tiny graphic images, called pixel tags. The information collected is then encrypted and stored in Google's secure database. If you would like to read more about Google Analytics please go here. User IP addresses may also be recorded and used for security and monitoring purposes. All of this information may be shared with third parties to provide users with relevant advertisements and other services.

When I become a fan or artist on

To start an account on some personal information such as name, email address, zip code and age is needed so we know you're legit and to get you on your way to supporting great independent artists around the country. As a member of the MadeLoud community, you will choose a username. This username will be displayed when you post on forums, write album reviews, or write messages to your favorite artists, among other things.

All MadeLoud users are automatically signed up for MadeLoud's Newsletter at registration. We just want to keep every user up-to-date on our site's services and maybe say "thanks" from time to time. Of course, users have the option to opt-out of this service by going to their user site, pressing "edit account," then un-clicking next to the MadeLoud newsletter option.

Newsletters are enabled with pixel tags which simply allow us to know if our newsletters are read. This will help us make sure these newsletters aren't a waste of your and our time. Sometimes these newsletters will have a "click-through URL" back to We track this click through data because it will show us, again, if our communications are effective. If you do not want your click through data to be collected, please avoid clicking on the links in the email.

MadeLoud may also collect information for its own market research. We want to provide users with the best experience possible, so we'll look at what activities are attracting users, what is popular in MadeLoud forums, how customer submitted communications are resolved, and other aspects of users' experiences with our website.

Sections of the website give music fans the option to describe themselves and their love of music, i.e. profile information. These sections are optional and you can fill in as much or as little as you like. Make sure you realize that any information you make public can be read by people YOU DO NOT KNOW. Some internet archives, such as Google and the Way Back Machine, may collect and store any personal information which you make public at our website. It is extremely difficult to remove information that has been archived in this way, so for your own safety, please take care when uploading pictures or writing about yourself and others. We would advise you to alter your privacy settings or JUST DO NOT WRITE/UPLOAD items to the site that you may not want disclosed to people you don't know.
