Biography

What made you want to start making music?

Music has been a part of my life since I was born. My first live performance was when I was 6 years old. When the mp3 movement began, I decided it was time for me to stop being a sideman and start creating the music I wanted the world to hear.

Tell us what your music is about? How has your subject matter evolved?

My music has as many subjects as it does genres. I started with things I knew personally, then it evolved around things I saw, the moon, the sun, nature, then I started to look at my faith. The subject matter now comes full circle with my faith and the music I love.

What artist(s) would you like to collaborate with? And why?

Pat Metheny because his music his so diverse and interesting, Chicago because I'm a jazz/rock junky and I have been a Chicago fan since the Transit Authority album, Rumer because her voice is so awesome and her music is great, Herb Alpert because Trumpet was my first instrument and growing up I was the biggest Tijuana Brass fan and the drummer in that band thought so much out of the box for the time, Neal Peart and Carl Palmer because they are two of the best modern day drummers and I could learn so much from them on my drumming skills, Michael W. Smith, Steven Curtis Chapman and The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir because they are my 3 favorite Christian artists and Bill Gaither because I would love to tell him how his music got me kicked out of a church.

What has been your biggest challenge as an artist/band? Have you been able to overcome that challenge? If so, how?

Getting my music heard. Marketing is such a hard part of this job. I can create all kinds of music. Getting it to the right people is difficult. And so many radio stations are still against indie artists. I am still facing this problem today.

What do you hope to accomplish with your music? How do you envision that happening?

Affecting people through my music. Music has been a powerful force in my life. Music brings emotions to people and drive memories. I am hoping my music does the same.

Part the Third covers Jesus' life from passion Week through His Crucifixion to His Resurrection and appearances to the disciples and others to the appearance to John on the island of Patmos to His final conflict and victory against Satan and his followers. The story lies within the bible verses that are part of the song titles. Please take the time to read the bible verses. The song "The Finale - O King of Kings, O Lord of Lords - Revelation 19_11-22_20" made it to the final round of the Grammys for Best Instrumental Arrangement in 2011.

Part the Second continues the musical saga from Jesus' first recorded teaching in the Synagogue at age 12 to the raising of Lazarus from the dead before the Passion week. This section will take you through Jesus' baptism, His temptation by Satan after His 40 days in the desert, His first miracle, the famed changing of water into wine at the wedding, the first time Jesus removed the merchants from the temple, teaching of Nicodemas about being born again, the choosing of His disciples, His miracles, teachings, and healings. It is my hope that you take the time to read the bible verses as you take this musical journey in the hopes that you see the light of Jesus and follow His teachings.

Unfortunately the current project I am finishing is the first one in a series I'm calling The Quiet Series and this one is titled Prayer. I designed the music to be played while you are praying. More of a softer sound. But I will do this style next, since you asked.

I think that what you posted was actually very reasonable. But, what about this? suppose you typed a catchier post title? I ain't saying your information is not solid, but what if you added something that makes people desire more? I mean Free Christian Music Downloads is kinda vanilla. You ought to peek at Yahoo's front page and see how they write article titles to get people to open the links. You might try adding a video or a related pic or two to get people interested about what you've got to say. Just my opinion, it could make your website a little bit more interesting.

Glad you like it. The project was a challenge to bring about all the activities leading up to the conquering of Jericho and the problem that happened after. The title track was written with two thoughts in mind...how to depict a march around the wall and all the action before and with the wall falling and how long it takes for the 7 day walk.
