A guy in Israel has made the leap into internet notoriety and acclaim by twisting one of the World Wide Web's most popular mediums - the web video database YouTube - into a collage of overlapping styles and moods that synch up with surprising results.

Kutiman's creations blend tracks from instruments including drum machines, guitar, chimes, woodwinds, voice, trombones, and more in ways the creators of these sounds could probably not have imagined. In "Just a Lady", an a capella R&B voice track meshes with a jazz flute, drum loop, bass and more from contributors all over the world.

Many of the samples are simple, from the instructional/how-to clips that litter YouTube. Kutiman takes these basic moves and layers them with other YouTube finds. Taking these pieces apart, it's stunning that Kutiman was to create what he has out of fractured pieces, but as he says, much of it clicked together much easier than he expected.
