Biography:

Bio by Srobb; MilesEnd has been two decades in the making. I first met the lead guitarist Ken Schumacher back in 2001 at work. This is where we became fast friends and brothers (from another mother). During this time Ken was with a few different bands that never panned out. Ken had been in a pretty successful band in his formative years with his childhood friend Bill Lecher (Drums). They got to the point of almost getting signed to a major label but, long story short it didn’t work out due to personal issues with the singer. Ken and Bill moved on to other projects individually. This didn’t end the friendship, just that band. They actually ended up being roommates in Newton, NJ. It’s around this time that the singer Mike Scully started to hang out with them. Not in a musical sense, just friends. Years and different projects came and went until the early part of 2007. It must have been fate that it all worked out this way. Another childhood friend and roommate of Ken’s (Glenn D) had to move out. At the time Glenn was moving his friend and coworker Paul Monticello (Bass) needed a place to live. Paul ended up moving into Kens apartment in Boonton, NJ. The guys and a good amount of booze would all get together on weekends with all their other friends and they would just mess around musically. Mike sang and started playing the guitar again. He had taken guitar lessons as a kid and stopped as he got older. For a few years Ken and Mike would make “spoof songs” that didn’t sound half bad (search Youtube for “Hey there Demando” or “Drunken Madness”). It got to the point where they all said, “We should start a band.” They’ve been together for almost two years now and the music keeps getting better and better. Right now the band is trying to build a fan base and get their music heard by as many people as possible. They play all around the NY, NJ metro area. Their latest and possibly best show so far was a few weeks ago at The Bitter End in Manhattan. If you get a chance give them a listen or better yet see them Live. You won’t be disappointed.
