Hip Hop Artists
As rap flourished in the '80s and '90s, hip hop emerged as a genre that often featured rapping but which also included singing and a less heavy, more danceable beat than what was frequently found in more stripped-back rap music. Since its inception the two genres have merged sometimes seamlessly, with rap often including hip hop choruses with singing, and hip-hop often featuring guest rappers.
