Country Artists
Formed in the heartlands and more rural areas of the United States, country music evolved out of bluegrass, blues and folk to become one of the more popular art forms of what is often described as “middle America.” Frequently acoustic-based, with instrumentation not limited to a fiddle, pedal steel guitar, and a backing rhythm section of bass and drums, country is frequently sung in an accented drawl of the country and concerns the trials and tribulations of the common person.
