Gelon
Biography
I loved the guitar, and had played a bit already when I saw the Beatles on Ed Sullivan. Then I decided that was what I wanted to do!
It's about many things. Sometimes love, but more often about people having problems fitting in, being insecure, asking questions.
There are so many…Keith Emerson, because he's an incredible arranger and composer, and one of my favorite improvisers, and a master of many styles.
Finding the right venues to play is easily the biggest challenge. I often book a gig and figure out after 15 minutes of playing that it's the wrong club, wrong crowd wrong night - I don't know. But it happens and I have no way of knowing how to get past that.
Getting heard, exciting people with the sounds, and getting some positive feedback that helps me create energy. Making money is always welcome, but it's means nothing if the music isn't getting through. Fame and fortune? Nah.
