Three college kids from Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA that rap to pass the time when we're not doin' hella work.

We record everything out of a dorm room on North Ave. with a Roland VS-1824 and a busted up Shure mic from the late 80s with all our effects comin' from an Alesis Quadraverb.

Who is Checkpoint 1337?

A newly formed Rap/Hip Hop group composed of its founders 50-50 (Cameron Luck) and Flamin' Hot Cheetos (Kaylen Brown) and its new member Dubby C (Colin Dublin) all hailing from the Georgia Tech campus in Atlanta, GA. I also heard that these guys have recorded every last one of their songs out of Cheetos and 50-50's dorm room. That's amazing.

We plan on bringing Hip-Hop to the Georgia Tech community in the next few years. We are constantly changing our style, so expect us to keep coming harder until we find our niche in the next year.

50-50

What's up everybody! It's Cameron Luck AKA 50-50, the youngest of the group. I would tell you my hometown right here, but since I've moved around so much due to my military background, I don't really claim anywhere as my hometown, though Georgia's been pretty influential to me. I've been rappin' since my senior year in high school where I rapped with two of my friends, Brycent and Jay in the infamous group the Fun Nugget Boys (Yes, we mad a whole album about Fun Nuggets available for download here). Without that ridiculous and fun introduction to Hip-Hop, I probably wouldn't be rappin' today and these two knuckleheads wouldn't be either. I've made a few other songs by myself and I believe only one of them is significant due to the fact that I wrote it after the death of one of my friends a year ago. Download it here. I have a very Midwestern style flow and rhyme scheme and am continually adjusting my flow. I produce some of the beats you've heard from us, do all of the mixing, and am also the founder of this hot new group, Checkpoint 1337. I'm a general goofball and don't take hardly anything seriously, which is why a lot of my lyrics seem obscene, but that's just my sense of humor. We plan on comin' even harder in the future, so stay tuned!

As you probably know, I'm now a 2nd year student at Georgia Tech. I'm majoring in Computational Media and plan on making video games or animated movies (or both) with my degree. I also plan to continue producing music for the rest of my life, because I am a genuine lover of music.

Dubby C

What it is?!?!? This is your boy Colin (not like Colin Farrell more like Colin Powell) Dublin a.k.a. Dubby C a.k.a C-Dub coming straight from Dawson, GA (Terrell County to be more specific). I claim that place because, like 50-50, I was a military brat. I was born in Landstuhl, Germany on Ramstein International Air Force Base on March 23, 1990. I've been rapping on and off ever since my junior year of high school. It was more like a hobby back then. Me and my brother Ryan and my cousin Trez would go at each other just for fun. I like 2 think of my flow as a smooth laid back Southern flow with some occasional quick-hitting sections like those of the original East Coast style.

I'm a pretty much chill dude. I obviously have a country accent which I'm reminded of constantly here at Tech. The first word i usually hear from someone I meet is either "Huh?", "What?" or "did you say (insert something totally unrelated to what I said)?" I deal with it though. My favorite foods include the #5 from Krystal's, mac and cheese, and pattie melts. Oh yeah and Stouffer's Lasagna!! I love my lasagna!!!!!

I'm a second year student at Tech majoring in Computational Media(thats right......I don't major in football or basketball). Even I don't know what it is yet so if you want to know more about it Google it up!! If I'm not rapping or writing down funny stuff for my next verse, yo can probably find me at the Campus Recreation Center playing basketball. Be sure to check out Off Da Chain Productions on Myspace. Flamin' Hot Cheetos

Well Hey There! The name's Kaylen Brown and I'm the second member of this group. I try my hardest to portray a racist, sexist, and all around -ist front to people. I'm just as much if not more of a goofball as 50-50. I find it hard to be serious about anything. I grew up in Warner Robins/Bonaire, Georgia . Though everyone seems to hate that place, I actually enjoy it. I suppose you always have a soft-spot for your hometown. Went to Warner Robins High School, played in the band, and that's about it. I've accumulated clothes from many people and I find it hard to remember where they come from. I find it hard to remember anything anymore. I have great love and respect for my friends even though I don't show it. I like long moon-lit walks on the beach, I enjoy eating, doesn't matter where. Not a big fan of the vegetables though. I'm a Mechanical Engineer at Georgia Institute of Technology. This surprises many people if they don't know me very well, but it's all good. Intelligence is only a quality and it has no standing in a relationship unless you're student rivals who've always tried to best each other on exams....but w/e.
