When the band Chrysaor dissolved, the musician Linchpin who now records under the name Ex Machina had a chance at a new template and a new start. "[I] am exploring and fusing different styles of genres available to me but the main and important ingredient is Nu-metal," he explains, and to that end he has produced three videos including this one for the song "Anomaly."
Linchpin's statement of purpose is both clearheaded and remarkably grounded. He says, "I need to point out that all of this is being done in the name of fun, in no way is this serious with any plans to get signed or anything to do with making money or business related..." and in the section on his page where it asks for "Record Label," he has simply written, "Not Needed," which we love.
Regarding his latest EP from which "Anomaly" is taken (and which you can download here), Linchpin says that it is "much fuller and greater" than his last effort, and that the concepts were inspired by the Matrix films. He also tells us that he's making a new video for the song "Shintaisei."

Anytime an artist can excel at multiple genres it will always bring in more fans. Most performers can only stick with one but some can really master several types of music all at the same time.
Artists who branch out away from their bands with some casino craft and try different genres can be successful if they really take the time to learn them well.
