Independent artist Kristen Faulconer had a big 2011, which she capped off perfectly by appearing at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards, where she was recognized for her song "Slow Down" on the score of the MX vs. ATV Alive game for XBox 360.
So, that's pretty cool. Throw in the fact that said song features Raymond Herrera of Fear Factory, and that she's got another song in the works called Phoenix featuring Chet McCracken of the Doobie Brothers, AND that you can download both songs for free, well, that's cooler than cool (ice cold?).
Right now Faulconer is working in the studio on her debut album Phoenix, meaning there's a lot more where that came from. We'll leave you with a video for her song "Fun."
